Last place, The Pats. Prove to me that anything has changed before I believe it has.
Second to last, the Jets. See section on Pats…
Third to last, Fins. See above.
Fourth to last, the Bills. Now, I could just say “see above” again, because nothing really has changed in Buffalo; but they played a game, so we might as well talk about it a little.
So, the Bills finally had their chance to vanquish their greatest demons. They had homefield, the Chiefs are in a “down year” and they had a nice little winning streak going on. Then we were reminded who the Bills are. They are the team whose recent playoff success has come against the following QBs: a 45 year old Philip Rivers, a concussed Lamar Jackson (well his backup actually), Mac Jones, Skylar Thompson and Mason Rudolph. It may be time for Bills fans to face the fact that maybe, just maybe, the Bills aren’t that good. Their coach proved once again that he just doesn’t have the mental capacity to manage a big game against a quality opponent. The QB still tries to give games away all the time (the Chiefs refused to accept his help this time though), and the defense will ALWAYS come up short when the stakes are highest. Then of course the kicker gave us a classic “wide right” and I think we can agree that the Bills’ window has slammed shut right on the fingers of the Bills Mafia.
Oh well, on to the combine!!!
