10 offseason moves that impact
Bills 2014 opponents
The first two and a half months of the offseason have brought an awful lot of change to several NFL clubs including the Bills under GM Doug Whaley. We take a look now at some of the most significant moves that will have an effect on Buffalo’s 2014 schedule in the fall.
DOLPHINS PUZZLING FREE AGENCY MOVES
What’s so puzzling about the Dolphins dive into free-agency is that after signing one book end left tackle in Branden Albert, they chose to pull back the distribution from the Bank of Stephen Ross and acquire talent in Cortland Finnegan to play cornerback and Shelley Smith to fill the vacant left guard position. One teams’ castoffs aren’t necessarily the Dolphins’ treasure.
John Elway talks about Patriots
“You always know you have to go through New England. With their track record over the last 10 years, they’re a team you’re going to have to be able to deal with,” Elway said. “For us to get done what we want to get done, you have to be able to beat them. It’s a fun arms race, and we’ll see what happens next year.”
Jets suffering from Battered GM Syndrome
They should probably invent that disease and put it in the medical books. “Battered GM Syndrome” is something probably all of us have. Who would be surprised? We all have endured Mike Tannenbaum, and depending upon your age, other general managers that have steered us wrong. GMs that have led us down the wrong path are all we know. Who can blame us for being sick? They make blooper reels about our failed draft picks. If we were as normal as regular football fans, it would be more of a story.
