Over the next few weeks, we will revisit all divisional games.
Both AFCE rivals entered week three with a record of 1-1. The Bills beat the Colts at home and had a demoralizing loss against the Patriots week 2. The Dolphins opened the season with a win at Washington, followed by a surprising loss in Jacksonville. Both teams looking to rebound early in the season.
The Bills have dominated the Dolphins on a regular basis, and this game will be no different, as Rex’s team totally destroyed Joe Philbin’s Dolphins, 41-14.
Tyrod Taylor in his second official start of the season, totally redeemed himself from the 3 INTs against the Patriots. His stat line, 21 of 29 for 277 yards with 3 TDs, no INTs.
Karlos Williams began to get noticed as McCoy continues to nurse his hammy. Williams with 110 yards rushing and 1 TD.
Charles Clay returned home with a bang, 82 yards and 1 TD.
On the Dolphins side, Ryan Tannehill was only sacked twice, yet he was extremely generous to his opponents. Rewarded them with 3 INTs, after throwing for 2 TDs in 49 attempts (a ridiculous number). Ryan also fumbled once while boasting an incredible 59.7 QB rating.
Richard Matthews had a great day with 113 yards and 2 TDs. However the problems were even bigger on defense. The Miami D never even shook hands with Tyrod, as they applied no pressure.
The Jacksonville game was the beginning of the end for the 2015 Dolphins. This Bills game only reaffirmed that the team was not going to have a decent season, and chances of saving Joe at the end of it were minimum at best.
Biggest losers:
- Ryan Tannehill is the easy choice at #1. This was supposed to have been the year he would develop into a leader, but clearly he is not ready to do so. At home, game 3, after a road loss, against a demoralized Bills team, he needed to come up big.
- Dolphins defense is a close second. After spending a fortune on Suh to improve the run defense (or at least that is what were told here), Bills rushed for 151 and Tyrod could have fried himself eggs before making a pass.
- Kenny Stills, the one that was supposed to make Wallace a forgotten man. Stills ended the day with zeros all around.
