Baltimore Ravens @ Minnesota Vikings
1:00 pm EST, CBS
Preview:
The Ravens travel to the Twin Cities to take on the puzzling Vikings, who have a clear path to a division championship in the wake of the season-ending injury to Green Bay all-world quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Baltimore welcomes back mammoth defensive end Brandon Williams, whose presence may make little difference if their offense continues its slogging, painful-to-watch pace.
Key players:
Ravens – Williams, RB Alex Collins, DE Matthew Judon
Vikings – QB Case Keenum, WR Adam Thielen, CB Trae Waynes
Tennessee Titans @ Cleveland Browns
1:00 pm EST, CBS
Preview:
The Browns turn back to rookie quarterback DeShone Kizer in the hopes of…what, exactly? Kizer has yet to show that he grasps the nuances of football at the NFL level, although the Browns have little to lose at this point. Expect surprising division contender Tennessee to blitz Kizer relentlessly and run, run, run.
Key Players:
Titans – RB Derrick Henry, RB DeMarco Murray (currently questionable), LB Derrick Morgan
Browns – Kizer, TE Randall Telfer, RB Duke Johnson
Cincinnati Bengals @ Pittsburgh Steelers
4:25 pm EST, CBS
Preview:
The Steelers, riding high after their win in Kansas City last week, are looking to extend their lead in the AFC North and possibly the AFC at large. Look for the usual formula from the Steelers – a bit more passing than running early, then allowing multipurpose RB Le’Veon Bell to increase his carries late. The Bengals will counter with their usual offense – lots of downfield passing to WR A.J. Green first, then everyone else.
Key Players:
Bengals – Green, QB Andy Dalton, LB Vontaze Burfict
Steelers – Bell, WR Martavis Bryant, DE Cam Heyward
