Pittsburgh Steelers @ Cleveland Browns
1:00 pm EST, CBS
Preview:
The Steelers travel to Cleveland to open the 2017 season against the (improved?) Browns, who have spent the offseason making definite upgrades to their defense and offensive line. The Steelers will rely on their high-powered offense to score early and keep the game out of reach, while the Browns will most likely lean on their running game and the aforementioned offensive line to increase their time of possession…and chances to win the game.
Key players:
Steelers – WR Martavis Bryant, RB Le’Veon Bell, LB Ryan Shazier
Browns – QB DeShone Kizer, RB Angelo Crowell, S/KR Jabrill Peppers
Baltimore Ravens @ Cincinnati Bengals
1:00 pm EST, CBS
Preview:
The Ravens will take on the rival Bengals in what has been, in recent years, a lopsided affair, with the advantage firmly tilting towards Cincinnati. The Bengals will follow their previously successful formula of testing the Ravens’ secondary with intermediate and deep passing routes, while the Ravens will hope that rusty QB Joe Flacco and a rebuilt offensive line will be enough to consistently score points.
Key Players:
Ravens – LT Ronnie Stanley, TE Nick Boyle, CB Brandon Carr
Bengals – WR A.J. Green, RB Jeremy Hill, LB Kevin Minter
