Today’s Games:
Cincinnati Bengals (2-0) at Carolina Panthers (1-1), 1PM, CBS
The Bengals are well-rested and travel to Carolina with both their offense and defense in gear. The Panthers lost a heartbreaking divisional game last week, boast the 27th ranked OL, and face a ‘roided up and invigorated Atkins and Dunlap. It could be a long day for Carolina unless Cam plays like Superman.
Denver Broncos (2-0) @ Baltimore Ravens (1-1), 1PM, CBS
Can either team put together a complete game? Both teams’ offenses are listed as questionable. The Broncos needed consecutive fourth quarter comebacks after falling behind early the past two weeks. The Ravens’ offense and defense had a Lawrence Taylor moment in week 2, entirely forgetting they had a game. Both defenses should be steadying forces; whichever QB makes fewer mistakes wins this game.
Monday Night:
Pittsburgh Steelers (0-1-1) @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-0), 8PM, ESPN
The Real Housewives of Pittsburgh take their show on the road to face a re-re-re-re-re-resurgent Ryan Fitzpatrick. Don’t expect either defense to instigate any drama. Can a savvy veteran offense led by Ben play strategic, clock-killing football and slow down Fitzpatrick? Strange things happen on MNF, but Sphincter and Ben are more likely to outmuscle than outwit, especially this early in the season.
Thursday’s Game:
New York Jets (1-2) 17, Cleveland Browns (1-1-1) 21
