Preseason game one is in the books, at this point we have all our answers, or do we?

Buffalo Bills

Bills held a joint practice this week, with the mighty Brownies. The biggest battle in this camp is at QB, where Cassel, EJ and Tyrod are all battling. So far none have really emerged. The other factor is injuries. The Bills find themselves with a long list of banged up players:

Wide receiver:

Sammy Watkins, Percy Harvin:, Marquise Goodwin, Chris Hogan, Marcus Easley and Tobais Palmer

Running back:

Fred Jackson, Boobie Dixon, Bryce Brown and Karlos Williams

Defensive tackle:

Kyle Williams, Stefan Charles and Corbin Bryant

Defensive end:

Alex Carrington and Jarius Wynn

Inside linebacker:

Ty Powell and Jimmy Gaines

Miami Dolphins

Ryan Tannehill is having a great camp, his only drive in game one was nearly perfect. Brandon “No relation to Fat” Albert is practicing, and a return for the season opener is a possibility. Kenny Stills has returned, and he is getting ready for the season of his life. First round pick DeVante Parker is also close to returning.
Overall Dolphins are having a good camp and injuries are limited when compared to rivals. So far after one game the Dolphins are looking like a team that will have a great season.

New England Patriots

Jimmy Garoppolo didn’t impress in game one, but its way too early to judge the kid, especially since Tom still gets the bulk of the work in practice. I’m sure the Pats would like a quick resolution to the NFLPA vs. NFL hearing, so that they can decide how much work Jimmy should get. Jerod Mayo is making yet another come back. The Patriots also traded for guard Ryan Groy, excellent depth move at the line.

New York Jets

What’s an article without Geno? Smith was suckered punched in the locker room, and Todd Bowles is not putting up with it. Geno, guilty or not may have blown his last opportunity in NY. Fitzpatrick steps in, and many feel this is an upgrade. In my opinion it is and it isn’t. Ryan will be much more accurate, and Chan will not be afraid to use his entire playbook. However, Geno added a running dimension and a much stronger arm.
