Needs: cornerback, offensive tackle, offensive guard, defensive line, linebacker
First Round (13): Jack Conklin, OT, Michigan State
The Dolphins trade for Byron Maxwell and Kiko Alonso costs them a shot at Ezekiel Elliot or Ronnie Stanley. Here, they take the third offensive tackle on the board. Conklin is a physical player who can dominate in the run game and improved each year in pass protection.
Second Round (42): Kevin Dodd, DE, Clemson
Miami has invested heavily in their defensive line rotation in recent years, but recently watched Olivier Vernon walk out the door and have Cameron Wake coming back from a serious Achilles injury. In a division that sees them play Tom Brady twice a year, they must continue to get to the passer.
Third Round (73): Kendall Fuller, CB, Virginia Tech
I’m not as high on Fuller as most, as he often gets beat with eyes on pump fakes on double-moves. However, he is the best corner on the board for a team in desperate need of secondary help.
