Five games remain before we discover which team can join the Patriots into the playoffs. Both the Dolphins and Bills have had long droughts, but are poised for a run. The Jets are also running, not sure where.
Patriots
The Patriots will once again win their kingdom. With a record of 9-2, all that really remains is to keep pace with the Raiders for home field advantage throughout. Yesterday the Pats looked anything but a Super Bowl bound team, as they barely escaped Met Life.
Remaining games:
Home: Los Angeles, Baltimore and NY Jets
Away: Denver and Miami
Pats can easily finish 4-1 or even 5-0
Dolphins
The Dolphins are trying to secure their first playoff appearance under franchise QB Ryan Tannehill. With a record of 7-4, a Wild Card spot is the goal. They will need to keep pace and stay ahead of teams like: Bills (6-5), Steelers/Ravens (6-5), Texans/Titans (6-5), Chiefs and Broncos. Yesterday they won against a horrible 49er team.
Remaining games:
Home: Arizona and New England
Away: Baltimore, NY Jets, and Buffalo
Dolphins can finish anywhere from 0-5 to 3-2. In my opinion they must finish at least 10-6 to get in. Therefore it is imperative to win 3 of 5.
Bills
The Bills are trying to secure their first playoff appearance since, well, a long time ago. With a record of 6-5, a Wild Card spot is the goal. They will need to keep pace and stay ahead of teams like: Dolphins (7-4), Steelers/Ravens (6-5), Texans/Titans (6-5), Chiefs and Broncos. Yesterday they didn’t impress against a bad Jags team.
Remaining games:
Home: Pittsburgh, Cleveland and Miami
Away: Oakland and NY Jets
Bills can finish anywhere from 1-4 to 4-1. Like with the Dolphins, in my opinion they must finish at least 10-6 to get in. Therefore it is imperative to win 4 of 5.
Good luck to our teams, and congrats for having put yourselves in a position to play games that matter in December.
