πππΒ Buffalo Bills
I have often joked with Bills fans just to make sure I maintain my King Phisher status, but this team was actually worst than I had hoped for. There is absolutely nothing to rave about, unless you’re excited they didn’t get shutout! It was one of the worst offensive performances I remember. I actually picked them to lose but score 9 points, I figured they had 3 FGs in them, I was wrong!
Not to rub it any further, but how do players, fans, owner, HC, GM, how do they pick up the pieces and prepare for next week? What the heck can you improve? Peterman is not even worthy of a third string role, never mind the starter. Allen may get killed behind that Mickey Mouse OL, and if has any ability that he can built on, this team may mess his head so bad he will never develop. I actually thought the D would win 5 games for them this year, right now its actually hard to imagine 1-15!
πΒ Miami Dolphins
This game was one of the strangest ever, not to the fault of either team, but God clearly hates the Dolphins in week 1. Last year they had to relocate to the West Coast and prepare an extra week for the Chargers. I mean when will the NFL learn that games down/under in September are no bueno.
On to the actual long long game. Tannehill was back and after a real good start he sort of reverted back to “serviceable”, but then did pick it up again, as he hooked with Kenny Stills for the second time in the game, only to become RT again. Two TDs are nice, but the two INTs not so much. Overall Dolphins fans should be happy for the win, even if it came at the expense of a backup QB, an unproven TE and a banged up OL. The Gase watch is put on hold for another week!…….Congrats to Stills, he stepped up!
πΒ πΒ New England Patriots
The Pats survived a very sloppy day, I mean when you are coming off a SB appearance, you are expected to bring it week 1 at home. I do not feel they actually played well, the Texans are badly coached and they looked like a college team struggling to play in the NFL. Tom has already thrown an INT, this is looking like the year of the final declining!
It was good to see Gronk have fun again, but man he looks bigger and bigger, as if he has swallowed Alex Guerrero. But a good Gronk can hide a lot of the WR deficiencies. Although the stats may not show it, the addition of Jeremy Hill may turn out to be a very smart move. The Pats will once again be on cruise control as the rest of division appears to be below par once again.
Note: I will not spare the Jets and will review their MNF game next week.
