Soon after Brady went down holding his left knee on a scrimmage play against the Tampa bay Buccaneers on Wednesday, the end seemed near for the Patriots season — sportsbooks even dropped the Patriots’ odds, and Pats press corps pressed the panic button.
looks like the fear was a bit premature though: Nfl.com’s Ian Rapoport reported that “Owner Johnathan Kraft said that the he believed the injury was “not that serious”. CBS in Boston also reported that the injury was a knee sprain, surely not a traumatic injury, but no where near as the believed ligament tear that spread through the rumor mill (As we recall a similar injury ended his 2008 season).
There’s still no official word from the team on his status or whether he’ll be available to play Thursday night against the Buccaneers, but it looks like Bill Belichick’s squad can breathe a sigh of relief.
So, no, it is not Tebow Time

Patriots took Tom Brady off practice field more for precautionary reasons than anything. Looks as if Patriots Nation can exhale.
